Job description


The One Stop Center Student Assistant is the first point of contact for students and visitors to Harper College serving as the welcoming point and providing excellent customer service at the One Stop Center and Information Centers. The One Stop Center is open Monday-Thursday from 8am-7pm and Fridays 8am-4:30pm
Responsibilities
Assist students in-person, phone, email and chat with questions about College procedures, account information and how to navigate My Harper (student portal). Assist with calling campaigns related to outbound call center efforts and input detailed information to record outbound calls made. Represent the One Stop at events and activities for new and continuing students that support enrollment related functions. Serve as a "storyteller" to other students about Harper and foster relationships that promote positive student experiences. Provide support to One-Stop Center staff as well as assistance with special projects and events as needed. Elements of these duties are subject to working remotely.
Qualifications
  • Team player but also able to work independently, be friendly, courteous and reliable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Represent the College in a professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of student and departmental information.
  • Some general office or customer service experience preferably in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual students are always needed, but this is not a requirement of the job.
  • In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester.
