Job description

In this role at Brown Pacific, you’ll operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment while following safety, quality, and process standards. You’ll perform basic setups and adjustments, conduct in-process inspections, document results, and work closely with your team to meet daily production goals. Operators may be assigned to specific equipment or processes based on business needs, including wire drawing machines, grinders, mills, and annealing furnaces.

This is a hands-on role in an active manufacturing environment that values consistency, attention to detail, and teamwork. It’s a strong opportunity for individuals who want steady work, skill development, and a clear path forward in manufacturing.

This position is classified as full-time, non-exempt. Typical days and hours of work are Monday to Friday, (3:30pm to 1:00am). This position may require overtime and occasional weekend work.

The Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. 

This is physical, detail-driven work in a manufacturing environment that can include heat, noise, dust, and demanding equipment. You’ll be on your feet, wearing PPE, and expected to meet quality and production standards every shift. Overtime is often part of the job.

You’ll build valuable skills, gain experience on specialized equipment, and have opportunities to cross-train and grow into advanced operator, lead, or technical roles over time. The expectations are clear, the work is honest, and the products you help make truly matter.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include wire drawing machines, grinders, mills, annealing furnaces, and similar equipment.
  • Produces the required quantity of material within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded material.
  • Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, basic blueprints, and measuring tools. 
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to operate forklift (certification preferred). 
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. 
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.
