Job description

This is a banking position (Banking experience required)


We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to support a commercial banking team with a strong focus on middle-market Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending. This individual will be responsible for analyzing complex commercial credit relationships, performing detailed financial analysis, preparing credit recommendations, and supporting lending decisions.


The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of commercial credit experience, strong CRE and C&I underwriting exposure, and experience supporting both middle-market and business banking relationships. This is a senior-level position requiring someone who can step in and independently handle sophisticated commercial credits.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyze and underwrite complex middle-market commercial credit requests.
  • Perform detailed underwriting of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) transactions.
  • Analyze business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and supporting financial documentation.
  • Perform cash flow, global cash flow, debt service, liquidity, and leverage analysis.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit approval memorandums and provide well-supported credit recommendations.
  • Evaluate borrower and guarantor financial strength, repayment capacity, collateral, and overall credit risk.
  • Analyze commercial real estate transactions, including property cash flow, NOI, DSCR, LTV, and guarantor support.
  • Evaluate C&I relationships, including operating performance, working capital, leverage, liquidity, and repayment capacity.
  • Review proposed loan structures and recommend appropriate terms, covenants, and conditions.
  • Identify credit weaknesses, mitigating factors, policy exceptions, and appropriate risk ratings.
  • Complete annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and ongoing portfolio analysis.
  • Monitor financial covenants and changes in borrower credit quality.
  • Partner closely with Commercial Lenders and Relationship Managers to evaluate and structure credit opportunities.
  • Conduct industry, borrower, and market research to support credit decisions.
  • Ensure all credit analysis complies with Bank policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.


Job Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of commercial credit analysis and/or underwriting experience within a bank required.
  • Strong Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and C&I credit experience required.
  • Middle-market commercial real estate underwriting experience required.
  • Business banking credit experience required.
  • Strong background in commercial underwriting and financial analysis.
  • Experience analyzing complex commercial credit relationships and supporting lending decisions.
  • Strong financial statement, tax return, cash flow, and global cash flow analysis experience.
  • Experience preparing detailed commercial credit approval memorandums.
  • Strong knowledge of NOI, DSCR, LTV, leverage, liquidity, collateral analysis, covenants, and risk ratings.
  • Ability to independently manage senior-level commercial credit assignments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Local Miami/South Florida market experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Miami Lakes, Florida.
  • Candidates whose experience is primarily consumer, retail, or entry-level credit will not be considered.
