Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Analyst III to join our Credit team. This position is responsible for performing advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting for a diverse portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and commercial real estate relationships. You will play a key role in evaluating borrower risk, preparing comprehensive credit presentations, and supporting sound lending decisions while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

This role requires strong financial analysis skills, sound credit judgment, and the ability to independently underwrite complex commercial loan relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive commercial underwriting and credit analysis for new and existing loan relationships.
  • Support commercial underwriting by inputting customer information into the loan system (i.e. Abrigo).
  • Spread business and personal financial statements and prepare financial analysis.
  • Prepare appropriate cash flow analysis to determine a borrowerโ€™s ability to service debt obligations.
  • Independently calculate borrower financial covenants for compliance with loan agreements.
  • Prepare various reports that support management reporting and tracking.
  • Work with Commercial Portfolio Managers to understand client requests and/or current financial performance.
  • Attend loan department and other committee meetings.
  • Independently researches and analyzes company, industry and economic data.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5 years of credit analysis and underwriting experience required.

Educational Background: Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred. Or an equivalent of combined education and relevant work experience.

Specific Skills: Working knowledge of cash flow, TVM, ordering and reviewing commercial appraisals, useful life of collateral, loan structure and other Banking standard underwriting metrics.

Technical& Analytical Skills: Ability to independently analyze and underwrite complex credit relationships. Ability to research and understand commercial and commercial real estate lending and banking regulations.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to deal effectively with customers and all levels of the bank organization.
