Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is searching for a full-time Structured Cabling Technology Technician II to join our team within the Technology and Data Comm Division as a senior level technician with experience in understanding a large variety of systems and construction techniques.
The Structured Cabling Technician II position will report directly to the Project Foreman to produce on time, within budget, project delivery while maintaining high levels of safety, quality and craftsmanship. Project execution should be done within the confines of company goals and vision in order to exceed client expectations. The Technician II position may be asked to run a crew or crews on projects to execute activities directed by the Project Foreman or PM.
Major Duties:
  • Activity coordination / sequencing comprehension.
  • Understand project specifications.
  • Demonstrate efficient time management.
  • Experience with resource planning.
  • Ability to produce accurate material requisitions.
  • Understand how to read construction drawings.
  • Assist project teams to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Demonstrate leadership & teamwork.
  • Understand construction technology.
  • Willing to help mentor team members.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Execute site commissioning and turnup.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Be a self starter.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 Years in Structured Cabling Industry.
  • Experience running crews.
  • Hold safety in high regard.
  • Expect high level quality craftsmanship.
  • Experience delivering large complex projects.
  • Fiber installation / termination / splicing experience.
  • Copper feed Pair termination experience.
  • Workstation termination and Comm room buildout experience.
  • Familiar with Fluke test equipment for both fiber and copper.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Microsoft 360 experience is a plus.
  • Blue Beam experience preferred.
