Crane Wiring Technician at Engineered Systems

Job Description Summary: Join our team at Engineered Systems as a Crane Wiring Technician, where you'll be wiring, fitting, and fabricating electrical components for overhead bridge cranes. This role involves mounting mechanical equipment, running and organizing wires, and ensuring all systems are tested and operational. Job Duties and Tasks:

  • Mount Equipment: Install panels, motors, hoists, and c-track components.

  • Run and Secure Wires: Arrange festoon wires from c-track to control panels neatly and securely.

  • Wire Motors: Connect motor leads and wire into motors.

  • Panel Layout: Cut holes on bridge panels for festoon cable connectors.

  • Wire Panels: Add and wire terminal strips, ensuring neat and labeled wiring.

  • Startup and Testing: Program VFD drives, test crane functions, and troubleshoot electrical issues.

  • Documentation: Complete startup paperwork, including VFD parameters and wiring diagrams.

  • Protect Equipment: Secure panels and motors from weather for shipment.

  • Safety Gear: Wear proper PPE, including safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and arc flash equipment.

  • Shop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping and equipment maintenance.
