Position Summary:
ServicePoint IT is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee structured cabling and IT infrastructure installations for enterprise-scale data center construction projects.
Our immediate project need is in the Buffalo, NY region. Following completion of the initial project, this role will transition into supporting data center projects throughout the United States, with a major focus within the Ashburn, VA, Columbus, OH, and Kansas City, KS regions. Long-term travel of up to 50% should be expected as project locations change based on business needs.

Travel & Work Schedule:

  • Immediate assignment supporting a major data center project in the Buffalo, NY region
  • Upon completion of the initial project, travel to customer sites throughout the United States will be required
  • Up to 50% travel should be expected throughout your career in this role

What You''''ll Do As the Field Superintendent, you''''ll lead field operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise installation crews on large-scale data center and commercial IT infrastructure projects
  • Manage daily field operations including manpower, scheduling, productivity, and quality
  • Install and oversee structured cabling systems, fiber optic infrastructure, server racks, network equipment, cable pathways, and associated hardware
  • Interpret blueprints, floor plans, construction drawings, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and customer representatives
  • Organize jobsite logistics including materials, equipment, tool management, and workforce planning
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining quality and safety expectations
  • Perform field quality inspections and troubleshoot installation issues
  • Maintain daily reports, progress updates, documentation, and timekeeping
  • Mentor and develop technicians while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and ServicePoint IT safety standards across all job sites

What We''''re Looking For Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting data center, low voltage, structured cabling, or commercial IT infrastructure projects
  • 3-5 years leading field crews as a Foreman, Lead Technician, Superintendent, or similar leadership role within large scale data centers
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic installations
  • Experience installing server cabinets, network equipment, cable pathways, and supporting infrastructure
  • Ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project reporting
  • Valid driver''''s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • BICSI Installer or Technician Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • CPR / First Aid Certification
