The Opportunity 

Join a dedicated, action-oriented team as an experienced Plan Spec Project Manager ready to lead electrical construction projects from turnover through closeout. In this role, you will manage plan and specification work by coordinating with field leadership, internal departments, subcontractors, vendors, and customer representatives to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with contract requirements.

The Plan Spec Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination for assigned projects—driving communication, decision-making, financial oversight, scheduling, and successful execution while also supporting the development of Associate Project Managers as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review RFP, proposal, estimate, schedule and all contract documents to become familiar with project requirements and obligations under customer contracts
  • Develop Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) with the Risk Department for submittal to customers
  • Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors, manpower, tools, equipment, and material deliveries and purchase materials, services, and subcontracts
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate construction schedules for assigned projects and assure milestones are met
  • Arrange and facilitate preconstruction meetings, project execution meetings, project walk-downs with customers
  • Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress and build rapport with field crews and leadership
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project costs and monitor subcontractor and vendor performance; submit weekly financial reports
  • Collaborate with partnering Project Accountant to monitor financial process of projects, including change orders, projected cost at completion, revenue, and projected gross profit
  • Complete project closeout processes



Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant project management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical construction project management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications with strong skills in Excel, Word, MS Project, and Copilot.
  • Local to York, Pennsylvania (preferable) but with regular travel to other offices, customer facilities, jobsites and yard locations for offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).
  • A “can-do” attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
