Job description

The Rinaldi Group of Florida, a Florida mid-rise and high-rise builder of residential, hotel, and office structures, is seeking a highly skilled individual as a Project Manager.
Position: Construction Project Management

Requirements:
  • The candidate must be well-versed and experienced with all 16 AIA-Trade Classifications of construction, including site logistics & site safety (in coordination with all local authorities having jurisdiction), in addition to site work, concrete foundation, and superstructure, building envelope, elevators & MEPs.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction projects which range in value between $ 10 million and $ 150 million and encompass ground-up, renovation, and conversion construction of mid-rise and high-rise towers.
  • Candidate must be a highly self-motivated, cost-conscious, organized, multi-tasker with excellent communication and paperwork skills including job reporting, weekly progress meetings, and dealing directly with owners and design teams, in addition to the sub-contractors and trade contractors.
  • Must be hands-on and experienced in using project management software such as Sage, Primavera or MS Projects, Procore, Raken, Submittal Exchange, and/or other similar programs.
  • Candidate must also have an ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • More importantly, an individual must be a loyal, committed company-man/ company-woman type of employee and teammate.
  • Must oversee all project activities, including subcontractors & vendors, staff scheduling, trade coordination, and compliance with DOB & OSHA safety rules & regulations.
  • Candidate must have the ability to push the project schedule along with the sub-contractors/trade contractors and their respective teams.
  • Must have a strong personality with great leadership and “field general” skills. 
Core responsibilities of this full-time, permanent position include, but are not limited to:
  • Working with a pre-construction team, including the Estimating Department, in developing project budgets and project schedules - especially writing and building upon standardized Scope-of-Work documents;
  • Working with Estimating and Purchasing in preparing and writing sub-contractor / trade contractor’s Scope-of-Work and Contract Documents, including but not limited to, creating and recording Drawing Logs, Specification Manifests, and Assumptions & Qualifications sheets;
  • Preparing, organizing, and submitting Monthly Statistical Reports for owners (and their Lenders), which will include progress reporting, RFI Logs, Bulletin Logs, Change Order Logs, Submittal Logs, Cost-Control Reports, including contingency transfers and allocation and manpower reports;
  • Writing, maintaining, and updating meeting minutes for Owner Progress / OAC meetings, Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination meetings, and Safety/Tool-Box meetings;
  • Preparing, scheduling, and expediting 3rd Party inspections and testing;
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of operating processes and strategies;
  • Procuring and scheduling materials and equipment deliveries, providing activities scheduling and input for the in-house scheduler, and submitting daily reports, time sheets, and manpower logs each day;
  • Full-time on-site supervision over ALL construction activities;
  • Organizing the project team and task assignments.
