Position Summary
The Entry-Level Low Voltage Cabling Technician supports senior technicians in the installation of structured low-voltage wiring in residential and commercial construction projects. This position focuses primarily on the prewire phase, where all cabling infrastructure is installed before drywall and finishing stages.
The technician will assist with running, routing, securing, and organizing low-voltage cables to prepare the property for future systems such as data networks, audio/video, security, and automation.
This role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills and grow within the low-voltage and AV integration industry. With experience and training, entry-level technicians may advance to installation technician, lead technician, or project supervisor roles.

Key Responsibilities
Assist Lead Technician

Prewire Installation
Run and secure low-voltage cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber, and control wiring before drywall installation.
Cable Routing and Management
Install cables through framing, ceilings, conduits, and cable pathways while maintaining organized routing and proper support.
Termination and Labeling
Assist with terminating cables and labeling according to project documentation and company standards.
Plan and Layout Interpretation
Learn to read and follow wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation for proper cable placement.
Construction Coordination

Safety Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines while working on active construction sites.
Project Timeline Support
