Job description

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager opportunity for our Projects Group in Aiken, SC.
This position is an opportunity for professional development and growth in a DOE subcontractor project office. The right candidate will be organized, flexible, able to manage confidential information, proactive, possess a strong desire to learn, eager to be a part of and support the team, and have the ability and disposition to multi-task with constant interruptions.
This is a full-time position with the following job scope:
Responsibilities include:
  • Pull together technical approaches, estimates and schedule for fixed price proposals.
  • Assist in the development of project execution strategy, project reporting and coordination of activities associated with multiple projects simultaneously within a matrixed organization.
  • Execute contracts, internal work authorizations, and subcontracts to advance the project schedule needs.
  • Work closely with assigned resources to establish project controls, schedules, resource plans and budgets.
  • Manage an integrated project baseline for cost and schedule performance utilizing standard Earned Value techniques.
  • Manage assigned project (s) and collaborate with project and technical leads to ensure projects remain on schedule and on budget while maintaining excellent relations with client.
  • Develop and manage project forecasts and forecast updates for bookings, revenue, and gross margin.
  • Track project performance including pricing change orders, REAs and other required changes.
  • Report monthly project performance including percent complete, dollar spent and overall project margin and forecast at project completion.
  • Interface with client procurement staff and field oversight personnel.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, science or technical discipline preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in the role of a Project Manager (being the Project Manager)
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar construction projects in excess of $10M preferred.
  • Experience working under DOE O 413.3B requirements preferred
  • Successful candidate will be fluent in EVMS, cost estimation, scheduling and processing change orders.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating project schedules, resource loading, managing project budgets, developing project cost/revenue forecasts, and creating and maintaining project baselines.
  • Past experience on DOE or DOD projects is desired
  • PMP Certification is a plus
