Position Overview

We are seeking a Low Voltage Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and profitable project estimates across a wide range of low voltage systems.

This is a key position within our organization that directly impacts project success, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates for:
  • Structured cabling (copper & fiber)
  • Video surveillance systems (IP & analog)
  • Access control systems
  • Network infrastructure
  • Fire alarm systems (experience is a plus)
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop complete scopes of work
  • Perform site walks and pre-bid meetings as needed
  • Identify labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements
  • Develop proposals and assist with scope clarification during the sales process
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth project handoff
  • Track estimated vs. actual job performance to improve future estimating accuracy
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for pricing and availability

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in low voltage estimating or field installation
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Structured cabling systems
  • Security cameras and access control
  • Network infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Experience with commercial and/or industrial projects preferred
  • Fire alarm estimating or design experience is a plus
