ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our growing team and support mechanical and HVAC retrofit projects across Southern California.

This position is based out of Bloomington, CA and requires frequent travel to job sites throughout the region. A daily per diem is provided and hotel accommodations are covered by the company when overnight stays are necessary.

The Pipe Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple welding methods and piping materials, values safety and quality, and can work both independently and as part of a field crew.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Weld and assemble piping systems using various methods (TIG, MIG, stick, brazing, soldering, etc.).
  • Fit, align, and secure pipe systems and supports according to specifications and drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Fabricate and install copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC piping.
  • Perform rigging, demo, and installation work on HVAC retrofit projects.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in pipe welding or mechanical retrofit environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:
    • Soldering or brazing copper pipe
    • Welding carbon or stainless steel pipe
    • Fitting or threading steel and PVC pipe
  • Ability to pass a pipe welding test (administered at our Bloomington shop).
  • Skilled at reading and following mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Southern California.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and safety mindset.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Hourly wage: $30 - $50 per hour (based on experience and certification)
