About the Job

🚧 NOW HIRING: Steel Erection Superintendent 🚧

📍 Work Location: In Person

🏗️ Department: Steel Erection

💼 Reports To: Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Steel Erection Superintendent to lead multiple crews on structural steel construction projects including commercial buildings, warehouses, factories, structural steel towers, and other large-scale construction sites.

This leadership role is ideal for a safety-focused construction professional with strong field experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and complex steel erection operations.

🔹 Key Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing daily steel erection operations and field supervision

• Managing up to 10 supervisors and 50 field employees

• Coordinating project schedules, manpower, and jobsite activities

• Ensuring OSHA, DOT, AISC, AWS, and company safety compliance

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and structural drawings

• Performing quality control inspections and maintaining project standards

• Completing two-week look-ahead schedules and coordinating workflow

• Supervising crane operations, equipment inspections, and field logistics

• Leading teams to safely and efficiently complete projects on schedule

🔹 Qualifications:

✔ 2-4 years of related construction or steel erection leadership experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

✔ Strong understanding of structural steel erection processes

✔ Ability to calculate basic beam and column load engineering requirements

✔ Knowledge of OSHA, AISC, and AWS standards

✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

✔ Valid Driver's License and ability to meet MVR requirements

✔ Willingness to travel as required

This is a physically demanding field position requiring climbing, lifting, working at heights, and exposure to outdoor construction environments and loud jobsite conditions.
