Fabrication Manager / Working Shop Foreman
Paradigm Ironworks – Riverside, CA
Full-Time
 Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, DOE

Position Summary
Paradigm Ironworks is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager / Working Shop Foreman to lead day-to-day operations in our structural steel fabrication shop in Riverside, California.
 
 This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will work alongside the crew when needed while taking ownership of shop organization, workflow, productivity, quality, safety, and planning. We are looking for someone who naturally thinks ahead, understands what needs to happen next, and keeps multiple fabrication packages moving efficiently.

Responsibilities
·       Lead and coordinate daily shop production.
·       Plan work in advance and communicate priorities to the crew.
·       Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.
·       Perform layout, fitting, welding, and fabrication when required.
·       Assign work based on employee skill level and project priorities.
·       Track fabrication progress and communicate status to management.
·       Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, Purchasing, and Quality Control.
·       Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient fabrication shop.
·       Ensure parts are identified, labeled, staged, and ready for delivery.
·       Monitor workmanship and company quality standards.
·       Train and mentor welders, fitters, and apprentices.
·       Enforce safe work practices and end-of-day shutdown procedures.
·       Identify improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions.
·       Take ownership of issues and always close the loop.

Qualifications
·       8+ years of structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication is a must.
·       Previous foreman, supervisor, or shop leadership experience is a must.
·       Ability to read structural steel shop drawings.
·       Strong fitting, layout, fabrication, and welding knowledge.
·       Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
·       Ability to think ahead and plan production.
·       Strong communication with shop and office personnel.
·       AWS certifications are a plus.
·       Dependable, accountable, and safety-minded.
