Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Apprentice Steel Fitter to join our team at M&J Steel, LLC. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the steel fabrication and fitting industry. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, learning the intricacies of steel fitting, fabrication techniques, and safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of steel structures in compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
  • Support experienced steel fitters in measuring, cutting, and welding steel components.
  • Learn and adhere to safety standards and practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
