As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer with SJHMC, you will perform diagnostic testing to support our cardiac team in their efforts to properly diagnose and treat patients.
Every day, you will perform various tests on patients with cardiovascular issues. You'll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients with heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, heart attack, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality electrocardiograms. You'll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Produce ultrasonic images to evaluate hemodynamics of heart valves, chambers and vessels
- Ensure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipment
- Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography
