Job description

E-Logic is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to provide professional structural engineering support for the planning, design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of Government facilities. The selected candidate will perform structural analyses, develop engineering designs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects comply with applicable federal, military, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate environmental and blast loads; analyze and design vertical and lateral forceโ€‘resisting systems.
  • Design shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and utility supports.
  • Collaborate with architectural and engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, codeโ€‘compliant designs.
Required Qualifications
  • ABETโ€‘accredited civil engineering degree (bachelor's or master's) with emphasis in structural engineering, plus handsโ€‘on facilities design experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional civil/structural, codeโ€‘compliant facilities design for new construction, including renovation design (required).
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in civil/structural engineering โ€” desirable.
  • Knowledge of ASCE 7 and the International Building Code; NAVFAC EURAFCENT AOR codes.

Security & eligibility:

  • U.S. citizen with a current, active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Valid driver's license.

Location: Primary work location is NSA Naples (Capodichino), Italy (PSC 817 Box 51, FPO, AE 09622-0051). The position requires frequent Temporary Duty (TDY) travel to NSA Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain, including NSA 1, NSA 2, NSA 3, and Isa Air Base. TDY travel may consist of up to ten (10) trips, each lasting approximately ten (10) days, during each performance period. While performing work at NSA Bahrain, employees may be required to work in austere environments due to damaged facilities and must be capable of performing physical activities such as prolonged walking, standing, climbing, crouching, and bending. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
