We are seeking a Structural Fitter/Fabricator to join our growing team at SI Utility, a locally owned company specializing in the fabrication of steel utility poles. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all structural components meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, fabricate, and fit structural metal components for steel utility poles.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components using a variety of tools and machinery.
  • Weld or bold materials together to build frameworks and supports per specifications.
  • Align and fit parts precisely using sppropriate measuring and leveling tools.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for conformance to design and AWS D1:1 quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

General Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to operate standard tools and machinery.
  • Must pass a weld test.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and highly motivated
.Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to accurately assess weights, distances, and heights.
