Structural Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer who is passionate about the design, engineering, and construction process to join our White Plains, NY team. A Day in the Life:

  • Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team
  • Prepare preliminary designs for clients
  • Utilize ASCE, AISC, ACI, and other relevant building codes to produce high-quality, safe, and economical designs
  • Attend client meetings
  • Coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
  • Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents, as well as construction
  • Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams

Necessary Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 2-5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction
  • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
  • Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages is preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) is highly preferred

Typical base compensation for the Structural Engineer role is between $80,000.00 - $110,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
