Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Structural Revit Technician in the posting locations below. In this role you will assist structural engineers by providing building information (BIM) modeling.
Posting Location: Boise, ID; Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center); Phoenix, AZ; Peoria, IL; or St. Louis, MO
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare Structural Revit models of buildings and tenant improvements of varying types.
  • Prepare Structural construction documents including plans, elevations, schedules, and details.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers and other disciplines via both in-person and Teams-based meetings and with cloud-based federated models.
  • Participate in multi-discipline/multi-contractor clash detection and resolution of internal mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems with structural supports and building core and shell structure.
  • Perform redline drafting.
  • Read and duplicate existing structural plans for use in building additions or renovations.
  • Mentor interns and entry-level designers.
  • Work in both office-based and project site-based locations.

What You'll Need:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • 3- 5 years of experience with Revit.
  • Experience with Building Structures required.
  • Ability to visualize and illustrate design in two and three dimensions.
  • Ability to balance several projects at once.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Navisworks preferred.
  • Revit or Autodesk Certification preferred.
