  • Manage and grow the structural engineering practice in South Florida.ย 
  • Manage client relationships and staff
  • Perform and oversee a variety of structural design, renovation, and inspection projects for various applications:ย  new construction, design build, renovations, adaptive reuse, etc.
  • Perform and oversee structural design & analysis of building structural systems for a variety of markets:ย commercial, institutional, educational, public-sector, and industrial facilities.
  • Design, detailing, and analysis of structures for low-rise & mid-rise buildings with a variety of materials (e.g.:ย  concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-form steel).
  • Perform and oversee the preparation of calculations and drawings for reports.
  • Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.
  • Perform field-oriented tasks (e.g.: ย investigations, site visits, threshold inspections, condition assessments, etc.) and develop corresponding site visit reports.
  • Work directly with clients to foster positive relationships and maintain base business accounts.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, South Florida
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with Structural discipline emphasis.ย 
  • 8 years+ years of professional experience working in Structural Engineering.
  • Active P.E. license in Florida.
  • Possessing some of their own base-business accounts is a plus
  • Proficiency with engineering / CADD / BIM tools
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM (especially Structural Systems and/or Elements), STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad are preferred.
  • Proficiency in all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience working with the design and analysis of a variety of structural systems / complex projects; experience with nonlinear structural analysis is a plus!
  • Experience working with structural inspections / assessments, especially with renovation projects.
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
