Construction Administrator (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

The Construction Administrator supports the successful execution of building projects by serving as a key liaison between design teams, contractors, and owners during the construction phase. This role requires a strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing/fire protection systems and focuses on reviewing construction documentation, coordinating communication, and performing site observations to ensure work aligns with design intent and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and track contractor submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) for compliance with project specifications and design intent
  • Perform periodic project site visits during various phases of construction to observe progress and document field conditions
  • Coordinate and communicate with engineers, architects, contractors, and building owners to resolve construction-related issues
  • Assist in responding to construction questions and supporting design teams during the construction administration phase
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and correspondence
  • Utilize web-based construction management platforms to monitor and support active projects
  • Prepare written reports, meeting notes, and other construction-related documentation as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing and fire protection systems construction (required)
  • Prior experience (5 to 10 yrs) in the construction trades at the foreman, project manager, or MEP coordinator level preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals (required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse project stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable navigating web-based construction management and project collaboration platforms
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities

Location: New Hampshire (Hybrid)

Travel: Up to 60% in the New England area

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000-$90,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
