The Role We Want You For

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer – Mission Critical to lead the design and analysis of structural systems for data centers and other high-reliability facilities. This role requires expertise in designing robust, scalable, and resilient structures that can withstand seismic, wind, and vibration loads while meeting the uptime requirements of mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with steel and concrete structures, foundation design, and dynamic loading conditions.

 

The Specifics of the Role

  • Structural Engineer is involved from the beginning to foresee preliminary design problems for Mission Critical projects.
  • Focus is on problem solving instead of finger pointing. The Architect, Engineer, and Contractor are on the same team.
  • Project designs based on construction schedule versus fully finished package.
  • Preliminary pricing advantages due to historical construction experience.
  • Value engineering is ongoing as the design is refined.
  • Input from jobsite can identify construction issues.
  • Projects can be designed to the builder’s strength.
  • Easier for engineer to issue changes or make revisions.
  • Opportunity for site and Quality visits to assist in solving field issues.
  • Relationship building with Field Staff (Superintendents and other on-site personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with Structural emphasis.
  • Master’s Degree with Structural emphasis preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing Mission Critical projects.
  • PE and/or SE license preferred.
  • 3-D CAD experience is a plus.
  • Team oriented attitude.
  • Resilient and adaptable to changes.
