Job description

Position Summary

Swing Shift (Typically 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM)

Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of clinical and commercial products. Operates electrical and mechanical test equipment. Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Works on assignments where judgment and initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Primary Duties

  • Follow written work instructions and collect all relevant data.
  • Troubleshoots electromechanical problems
  • Works with Engineering/Production to implement design and/or process improvements
  • Maintains records that comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Consults with customer service, instrument production, etc. as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining parts and materials in service area.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education, Training and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of applicable technical experience required with troubleshooting and repairing in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, computer, automotive, etc.

Preferred Education, Training and Experience

  • Associates degree in technical discipline and/or related on the job training or certifications
  • Experience with soldering, multimeter usage a plus.

The pay range for this role in the state of Utah is $18.60/hr to $27.90/hr. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
