Stretchmed information

What is a Stretchmed?

Stretchmed is a professional service that offers assisted stretching sessions, typically provided by certified stretch therapists. These specialists help clients improve flexibility, range of motion, and muscle recovery by guiding them through targeted stretches. Stretchmed studios are designed to cater to individuals seeking to reduce muscle tightness, prevent injuries, and enhance overall well-being. Sessions are often personalized to address each client's specific needs and fitness goals.

What is the difference between Stretchmed vs Physical Therapist?

AspectStretchmedPhysical Therapist
CredentialsTypically requires specialized training or certification in stretching techniquesRequires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and state licensure
Work EnvironmentOften works in wellness centers, gyms, or clinics focusing on flexibility and recoveryWorks in hospitals, clinics, rehab centers, and private practices
Industry UsageCommonly used in fitness, wellness, and alternative therapy settingsPrimarily in healthcare, rehabilitation, and medical settings

Stretchmed professionals focus on stretching techniques to improve flexibility and aid recovery, often in wellness environments. Physical Therapists have a broader scope, including diagnosing and treating a variety of physical conditions, requiring advanced degrees and licensure. While both roles aim to enhance physical health, their credentials, work settings, and industry usage differ significantly.

What are some common challenges faced by Stretchmed practitioners when working with clients, and how can they be addressed?

Stretchmed practitioners often encounter clients with varying flexibility levels, underlying injuries, or medical conditions. A common challenge is adapting sessions to each client’s specific needs while ensuring safety and comfort. Practitioners can address this by conducting thorough initial assessments, maintaining open communication, and staying updated on best practices in assisted stretching. Collaboration with other health professionals, such as physical therapists or personal trainers, can also enhance client outcomes and professional growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Stretchmed stretch therapist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Stretchmed Stretch Therapist, you need a solid understanding of human anatomy, flexibility training techniques, and ideally a background in exercise science or a related certification. Familiarity with assisted stretching protocols and wellness management systems is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, and the ability to motivate clients are essential soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure safe, effective sessions that build client trust and promote long-term wellness outcomes.

Are you a Personal Trainer, Massage Therapist, Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer, Exercise Science/Kinesiology professional, or Exercise Instructor who loves helping people move better and feel their best?
StretchMed is looking for passionate, energetic, and compassionate Mobility Specialists to join our team. This is an opportunity to use your knowledge of movement, mobility, and recovery to make a real impact on people’s lives.
At StretchMed, we specialize in assisted stretching designed to help clients improve flexibility, reduce discomfort, recover from activity, and move with confidence.

  •  Help clients improve mobility, flexibility, recovery, and overall movement quality
  •  Educate clients on the importance of mobility, stretching, and healthy movement habits
  •  Build strong relationships with members and create an exceptional client experience
  •  Conduct client assessments and recommend personalized mobility solutions
  •  Guide clients through membership options and wellness programs that support their goals
  •  Follow up with clients to help them stay consistent and successful with their mobility journey

  •  Has strong communication skills and enjoys connecting with people
  •  Is comfortable having wellness conversations and recommending services that benefit clients
  •  Is reliable, professional, and eager to learn
Sales experience is a plus, but we are looking for people who believe in the value of what we do. At StretchMed, selling is about serving — understanding a client’s goals and helping them find the right solution.

Why Join StretchMed?
  •  Make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day
  •  Work in a positive, health-focused environment
  •  Grow your skills in mobility, recovery, and wellness
  •  Flexible scheduling options
  •  Opportunity for growth within a growing wellness brand
  •  Be part of a team that believes movement is medicine
If you love helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their bodies — we’d love to meet you!
