To thrive as a Stress Tech, you need a solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and stress testing procedures, often supported by an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field. Familiarity with EKG machines, treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing equipment, and sometimes certification such as Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) is typically required.
