Job description

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Charlottesville is looking for a tech savvy individual who can handle the audio/visual and live streaming requirements to broadcast our dual-platform services on Zoom. Training will be provided and an ability to multi-task is essential. Familiarity with Zoom, Google slides, AV equipment including sound boards, microphones, and remotely operated cameras a plus. Some video editing will also be required.
4-5 hours/week on Sunday mornings. MUST BE IN-PERSON on Sundays to work audio/visual and streaming equipment/platform during Sunday service. Occasional Sundays off negotiable.
Responsibilities: The applicant will be responsible for:
  • Operating audio/visual equipment on Sunday mornings
  • Live streaming on Zoom
  • Creating and projecting Google Slides on screen in the sanctuary and on Zoom
  • Editing video clips as needed used our services
  • Editing zoom recordings and uploading weekly to our YouTube page
Qualifications: Experience with audio/visual equipment, online streaming on Zoom, and video editing. Having access to a PC with video editing capabilities is a plus, but we can provide one on site if necessary. Must be willing to work with specialized equipment like audio soundboards, microphones (wireless and wired) video production switches, PTZ camera controls, multiple monitor displays, video projectors. Training available. Must be good at troubleshooting and handling multiple tasks at once. Opportunity for additional income providing AV Tech support during non-Sunday service gatherings, including memorial services, weddings, large meetings, etc.
