Job description

The Utility Yard Worker is responsible for assorted maintenance including maintaining clean and well-groomed grounds around the facility. The facility is located in Strawberry Plains, TN.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

  • Paints equipment and buildings for preventive maintenance.
  • Maintains clean area around dumpsters; picks up trash; dumps and cleans trash barrels.
  • Cleans interior of the plant (floors, restroom, etc)
  • Responsible for company safety rules and regulations
  • Safely operate equipment and maintain good housekeeping (general and equipment) of assigned areas.
  • General manual labor and housekeeping of the production area.
  • Works co-operatively with other employees on projects.
  • Report production/electrical/mechanical issues to Supervision immediately
  • Unload the contents of the Truck (heavy barrels)
  • Perform safety cleaning for trailers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
  • Prior maintenance/janitorial experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work well with others in a team environment.
  • Dependable; reliable.
