We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our tax team as a seasonal tax intern from September-December 2026.

The seasonal tax intern will report to the Senior Tax Manager, and support the team in multiple functions including:

  • Assists with Canadian tax filings such as corporate/excise tax returns
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to tax authority's inquiries Assist with pre-tax season preparation including financial information gathering and review, tax compliance list preparation, coordination with internal and external stakeholders etc.
  • Assist with post-tax season and/or ad hoc projects
  • Participate in technologyimprovement initiatives such as:
    • Identifying manual processes suitable for automation
    • Developing tools for the collection of information that are necessary for tax analyses
    • Creating templates, dashboards, or macros to support tax operations
    • Supporting the enhancement of existing systems

Requirements

The following are your keys to success in this role:

  • Experience with building databases, data manipulation, and computer programming
  • Familiarity with data tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or basic scripting
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • You are a team player, and have solid verbal and written communication skills
  • You have a collaborative mindset and positive attitude
  • Familiarity with tax return preparation would be an asset
  • You have an interest in technology, automation, and process improvement within a tax environment would be an asset

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate's year of study and relevant work experience.
