Welcome to Love's: The Manager of Marketing Strategy provides strategic leadership and guides the development of insight-driven, go-to-market strategies that support Love’s business priorities and align with our broader brand and retail marketing strategies. 

This role is accountable for strategic direction and prioritization across the retail business while leading and developing Marketing Strategists to deliver clear, actionable go-to-market direction for assigned areas of responsibility. 

Job Functions: 

Marketing Strategy:

  • Guide the development of go-to-market strategies for Love's retail lines of business that align to brand strategy
  • Partner with Marketing Strategists to shape and refine strategies for assigned retail lines of businesses, ensuring clarity of audience, messaging approach, campaign intent, and success measures
  • Support advanced initiatives and contribute to select enterprise efforts alongside senior leadership
  • Translate business objectives and customer insights into clear strategic direction and priorities to guide decision-making
  • Establish strategic frameworks that guide campaigns, seasonal priorities, and integrated marketing plans
  • Maintain awareness of customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and positioning
  • Ensure strategies consistently reflect Love’s brand values and positioning frameworks

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Marketing Strategists through regular feedback, coaching and strategic guidance
  • Guide day-to-day priorities and workload, ensuring focus on the highest-impact work
  • Provide ongoing feedback to strengthen strategic thinking
  • Foster a collaborative, insight-driven culture focused on learning and continuous improvement

Strategic Partnership & Alignment

  • Serve as a strategic leader for cross-functional teams
  • Influence alignment on objectives, scope, priorities, and success measures
  • Support annual planning efforts in partnership with senior marketing leadership

Performance & Strategic Learning

  • Define success measures and intended outcomes for key retail initiatives
  • Partner with analytics team to understand performance and identify meaningful insights
  • Lead performance and learning discussions that help teams understand what worked, what didn’t, and why
  • Translated results into clear recommendations to inform future strategy, prioritization, and planning

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience in strategic marketing
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or guiding team members
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams

Skills and Physical Demands: 

  • Proactive and curious, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, seek understanding, and influence decisions through strong thinking and relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention-to-detail
