POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Business Strategy Specialist, you will take meaningful ownership of strategic projects while growing into a trusted thought partner for business unit leaders and senior stakeholders. You will move beyond foundational support to independently lead cross-functional workstreams, develop data-driven recommendations, and help shape the stories that drive Moss forward.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional who has built a solid foundation in business strategy or a related field and is ready to operate with greater autonomy, influence cross-functional conversations, and develop the strategic acumen needed to advance into a senior-level role. You will collaborate closely with the Business Strategy Manager and the broader team, contributing fresh perspectives while continuing to grow your strategic toolkit.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of presentations and deliverables for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other strategic initiatives, ensuring quality, clarity, and alignment with business unit goals

  • Independently manage cross-functional projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders across Strategy, Marketing, Communications, and Business Units to gather inputs and drive progress

  • Conduct market and competitive research, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic recommendations

  • Support senior leaders and business unit partners by identifying needs, asking thoughtful questions, and translating ambiguous challenges into structured plans

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and tracking mechanisms to ensure on-time delivery and stakeholder alignment

  • Collaborate closely with Senior Business Strategy Specialists to co-develop strategies, implementation plans, and rollout approaches for key initiatives

  • Craft compelling narratives and communication materials tailored to diverse internal audiences, including leadership and executive teams

  • Contribute to the identification of best practices, process improvements, and opportunities for strategic innovation across business units

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Communications, Strategy, or a related field (MBA preferred)

  • 3-5 years of experience in business strategy, communications, operations, consulting, or a related field

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Data visualization skills a plus (i.e., PowerBI, Smartsheets)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills-able to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills-able to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with leadership

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking initiative with limited direction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas

  • Self-starter with strong follow-through, attention to detail, and organizational skills

  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build relationships across functions
