(Targeting below $170,000 to maintain internal peer alignment)

Incentives:

About the Role

This role leads an assigned product line, owning both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution. The Business Unit Manager drives profitability, identifies new product opportunities, and serves as the internal and external liaison for the product line while partnering closely with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and executive leadership.


Job Responsibilities

  • Own the assigned product line from strategic planning through execution
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term business and product plans
  • Increase profitability of existing products and lead new product development initiatives
  • Conduct market research, assess customer needs, and analyze competitive data
  • Partner with sales and key accounts to grow market share and refine product strategies
  • Prepare sales forecasts, financial analyses, and ROI justifications
  • Recommend product specifications, pricing structures, and packaging changes
  • Lead new product launches in coordination with sales, marketing, engineering, and production
  • Manage inventory levels and production schedules aligned to business objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop product line staff
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members
  • Serve as the primary internal and external contact for the assigned product line
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
  • Travel up to 20%, including potential international travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; thermodynamics background strongly valued
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, business unit leadership, or manufacturing
  • Strong blend of business acumen and technical understanding
  • Experience with pricing strategy, market analysis, and product lifecycle management
  • Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with business tools, presentations, and data analysis
  • Experience reviewing, clarifying, and negotiating terms and conditions
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented mindset with a long-term strategic perspective
  • Ability to work on-site in a highly collaborative environment
