Job description

What Will You Be Doing?

Frontier Airlines is seeking a motivated and analytical Inflight Experience Operations Strategy Intern to support strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, crew performance, and the overall inflight customer experience. Building sustainable operational systems, analyzing data, improving processes, and delivering measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about aviation, operations, and process improvement and who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced airline environment. As an intern, you will work directly with the Director of Inflight Customer Experience Operations on projects that impact crew-facing processes, technology, service delivery, and operational performance. You will gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, project management, and continuous improvement methods.

Essential Functions

Operational Strategy & Analysis – 30%

  • Analyze operational and performance data to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that improve leadership visibility and support data-driven decision making.
  • Create sustainable tracking systems that improve operational consistency, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee and customer experience.

Project Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration – 25%

  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives alongside IT, PMO, Finance, Airport Affairs, and other teams.
  • Support project timelines, documentation, and meeting preparation for major inflight initiatives (e.g., technology enhancements, base openings, automation efforts).
  • Design and document standardized workflows, process maps, operating procedures, and resource materials.
  • Develop scalable tracking and reporting solutions that support operational consistency across multiple workstreams.

Technology & Process Improvement – 20%

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating tools that improve crew efficiency and “self-service” capabilities.
  • Contribute to user testing, requirements gathering, and feedback analysis for technology projects.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional projects supporting Inflight Experience initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, status updates, risk assessments, and executive summaries

Stakeholder Engagement – 15%

  • Help maintain communication with internal partners, flight attendants, industry vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Draft materials such as presentations, briefs, and project updates for leadership.
  • Support development of performance metrics that measure operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.

 

Other Functions

  • Support special projects assigned by Inflight leadership.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and continuous improvement workshops.
  • Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and program guidelines.
  • Respond to department needs with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Aviation Management, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

·         Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for escorted assess privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.

·         Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·         Possess excellent office and communication skills

·         Working knowledge of PC, MS Office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred

Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled
