Position Summary

Timberline’s Business Banking Officer is responsible for independently managing and growing a portfolio of business banking relationships through consultative relationship management, business development, and sound credit administration. This role demonstrates advanced relationship management capabilities, strong credit acumen, and the ability to deliver customized banking solutions that support customer growth while managing risk appropriately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new loan, deposit, and treasury management opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong referral and center-of-influence networks.
  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and business operations to structure sound credit recommendations.
  • Present loan opportunities and relationship strategies clearly and effectively.
  • Proactively monitor portfolio performance, identify risk trends, and manage relationship issues appropriately.
  • Deliver consultative banking solutions tailored to customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with credit, treasury management, retail, and other internal business partners.
  • Assist with coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of banking products, market conditions, and industry trends.
  • Represent the bank professionally within the community and business market.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Several years of business banking, commercial lending, or related financial services experience.
  • Demonstrated business development and portfolio management success.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills.
  • Ability to independently manage customer relationships and priorities.Preferred Knowledge and Expertise
  • Prior banking, sales, or business development experience.
  • Experience working with business customers.
  • Understanding of commercial lending fundamentals.

**Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Incentives based on Timberline Team goals may also be offered.
