Job description

Reporting to the Global Marketing Director, the Strategic Growth Initiatives Lead is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives for CAMECA through strategic partnerships, market research, and new market development related to CAMECA's portfolio.
The role contributes to defining and executing CAMECA's business development and market expansion strategy, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, technology roadmaps, and commercial priorities.
This position supports executive decision-making by structuring strategic options, building robust analyses, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities:
The Strategic Growth Initiatives Lead will:
  • Strategic Planning & Growth Initiatives
    • Lead annual strategic planning exercise for CAMECA BU
    • Contribute to the definition and evolution of CAMECA's long-term strategic roadmap for APT, SIMS and ECR Sources.
    • Structure and assess strategic growth opportunities (organic, partnerships).
    • Build, maintain, and regularly update a structured pipeline of M&A opportunities aligned with CAMECA's strategic roadmap.
    • Develop clear strategic analyses, scenarios, and recommendations to support leadership decisions.
  • Strategic Partnerships
    • Create and pre-screen long list of possible M&A targets
    • Identify, assess, and develop strategic partnerships with key customers, opinion leaders, and technology partners.
    • Structure and manage partnerships including partnerships (joint developments, technology access, co innovation) in close alignment with Product, R&D, Legal, and Sales.
    • Define partnership value propositions, governance principles, and joint development roadmaps.
    • Act as a key interface with partners to ensure alignment and long-term value creation.
  • Market & Business Development
    • Monitor market trends, emerging applications, and competitive dynamics in APT, ECR and SIMS-related markets.
    • Conduct competitor analyses and market sizing activities
    • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to market entry or expansion strategies.
    • Translate market intelligence into strategic input for product and commercial roadmaps.
  • Strategic Projects & Cross-functional Leadership
    • Lead or support transversal strategic initiatives involving Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Service, Finance, and R&D.
    • Ensure consistency between strategic intent, product positioning, and go-to-market execution.
    • Facilitate alignment across functions through structured analyses and clear communication.

Requirements:
  • Education & experience:
    • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Strategy, or equivalent.
    • Solid experience in strategy, strategic marketing, or business development in a high-tech, industrial, or scientific environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with autonomy.
    • International exposure and experience in multicultural, matrix organizations.
