Job description

The Strategic Project Manager operates within the Global PMO to lead and execute high-impact, cross-functional projects and initiatives across Operations, outside of core ERP program delivery; playing a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and implementing deliverables that achieve operation efficiency, scalability, and improved operational performance.
This role is responsible for embedding governance, driving structured execution, and delivering strategic operational initiatives that span functions such as supply chain, logistics, trade compliance, real estate, and operational transformation.
The Strategic PM ensures that all initiatives are executed with clarity, discipline, and measurable outcomes, acting as a bridge between strategy and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiative Delivery
  • Manage diverse operational initiatives - planning and discovery through execution, rollout, and post-launch validation
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-functional operational initiatives (e.g., logistics optimization, tariff mitigation programs, footprint changes, indirect spend initiatives)
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured, executable plans
  • Ensure initiatives are delivered with clear scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes

Governance & Structure Implementation
  • Apply and reinforce PMO governance standards across all assigned initiatives
  • Establish clear plans, milestones, decision points, and accountability structures
  • Ensure all initiatives operate with consistent documentation and execution discipline

Pre-Project Structuring & Readiness
  • Define business cases, scope, and success measures for new initiatives
  • Build structured intake, planning, and readiness frameworks before execution begins
  • Ensure initiatives are properly scoped and resourced prior to launch

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Drive alignment across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and external partners
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and integration points across initiatives
  • Act as a central point to unblock issues and maintain momentum

Continuous Improvement & Standardization
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and reduce inefficiencies
  • Standardize tools, templates, and ways of working across initiatives
  • Capture and embed lessons learned into future planning and execution

Portfolio Support & Prioritization
  • Support PMO leadership in prioritizing and sequencing strategic initiatives
  • Provide visibility into progress, risks, and resource needs across initiatives
  • Contribute to portfolio-level decision-making and trade-off discussions

Success Measures
  • Successful delivery of strategic operational initiatives on time and with measurable impact
  • Improved structure and readiness of initiatives prior to execution
  • Increased cross-functional alignment and reduced execution friction
  • Consistent application of PMO governance standards outside ERP
  • Tangible improvements in operational efficiency, cost, or risk reduction

Profile
  • Strong experience delivering cross-functional operational or transformation initiatives
  • Background in PMO, strategy execution, operational excellence
  • Highly organized with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating across functions, regions, and seniority levels
  • Degree in Business Administration or similar
  • Certified PMO, ITIL, or equivalent
