Job description

SUMMARY

Drives supply chain strategies for Fixed Operations (service parts and accessories) by fostering relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders (including Subaru Corporation [SBR]/Subaru of Indiana Automotive [SIA]), ensuring overall efficiencies and driving continuous improvement to support business growth and operational excellence. The role requires a strategic, analytical, and results-oriented mindset to drive efficiencies, improve performance, and manage risks while ensuring availability and profitability of parts and accessories.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives and refines the long-term strategic initiatives to optimize the Fixed Operations supply chain process, reduce costs, and improve operational performance across all segments of the supply chain which include Service Parts and Accessories Inventory Planning, Parts Information Coordination, Export, and Regional Distribution Center (RDC) network.

  • Works closely with the Parts and Accessory Planning leadership to strategically align the demand planning process with multiple Subaru of America (SOA) teams and functions.
  • Fosters collaborative relationships with the Parts Sales, Marketing, and Pricing teams to ensure accurate forecasting and demand fulfillment.
  • Drives initiatives to reduce excess inventory while ensuring the continuous flow of parts and accessories to meet customer demand.
  • Identifies supply chain risks (e.g., supply disruptions, cost fluctuations, geopolitical factors) and develops mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Manages the utilization of advanced analytics and supply chain management software to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and oversee supply chain communication strategy to internal/external stakeholders to include senior leadership.
  • Fosters a collaborative and results-driven environment for direct reports, setting clear expectations and performance goals.
  • Promotes a positive and inclusive team culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides high-level oversight of the supply chain Information Technology (IT) project prioritization process.

REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge, expertise, and experience with supply chain strategies, logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand planning.

  • Strong analytical abilities with preferred proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., Kinaxis, Oracle, or similar systems) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Leadership capabilities, with experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • Strategic thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
    Strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex initiatives.

  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification, preferred or Six Sigma (particularly Green and/or Black Belt) certification, preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of relevant experience required. 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)

  • Hybrid Role: Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]

  • Required Travel: Up to 50% Domestic

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $168,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2)
