Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist IV to provide senior-level strategic communications support and overall program management for the Contractor’s strategic communications team.

The Strategic Communications Specialist IV will support information campaigns, publications, multimedia communications, and senior leadership engagement while helping manage strategic communications activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working-Level Communications Support: Provide working-level strategic communications support across ONR communication products and services.
  • Contractor Team Program Management: Provide overall program management of the Contractor’s strategic communications team.
  • Information Campaign Support: Support information campaigns on social media platforms including X (Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Flickr.
  • Publications: Write, edit, and publish newsletters and other publications in accordance with applicable style guides.
  • Senior Leadership Representation: Represent organizations of departmental, national, and international interest via multimedia and face-to-face venues, such as print, broadcast, and exhibit formats.
Required Qualifications
  • A two (2) page writing sample of a previously published professional publication or article, which shall be attached to the resume.
  • Experience supporting information campaigns on social media platforms including X (Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Flickr.
  • Thoroughly familiar and proficient in the use of commercial software packages such as Adobe InDesign Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient in the use of Site Corp and Web Management software.
  • Excellent professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence representing organizations of departmental, national, and international interests via multimedia and face-to-face venues, such as print, broadcast, and exhibit formats.
  • Working level knowledge of video streaming.
  • Ability to convey meaningful messages related to the organizational mission of scientific research, technology discovery, and invention that leads to transition to the acquisition community.
  • Ability to effectively write, edit, and publish newsletters and other publications.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field from a fully accredited institution and at least fifteen (15) years of experience in program management and strategic communications (communicator or writer) or social media management in support of various unique, specialized organizational goals.
