Job Title:ย Director of Strategicย Communicationย 

Position Summary:ย 

The Director of Strategic Communication (DSC)ย is responsible forย creating and conveying consistent messagesย regardingย theย School'sย mission, values,ย and Strategic Plan.ย Reporting to the Head of Schoolย collaborateย closelyย with theย directorsย of Advancement and Admission, oversee two team members, andย developย measurable, goal-focusedย marketingย initiativesย and communicationย strategies.ย The DSC also coordinates with senior administrative staff and manages targeted communications,ย crisis communication, and special campaigns related to admission, fundraising, alumni relations, and public relations. Their goal is to enhance theย School'sย competitive positioning through improved brand management, visibility, and reputation.ย 

The ideal candidate should be aย skilled communicationย professional capable of leading a team, overseeing external vendors and freelancers. They must have the capacity to organize and execute a synchronizedย academicย yearย communication plan involving events, publications, and digital outreach. Position Details:ย 

Responsibilitiesย ย 

  • Create and deliver theย Schoolโ€™sย message by engaging and activating our community across multiple platforms andย bringingย theย All Saintsโ€™ย story to life for the purposes of advancement,ย admission, and retention.ย 

  • Manage content, design, production, and distribution of print and digital pieces related to advancement (i.e.ย annual giving, capital campaigns, major gift appeals, alumni relations),ย admission,ย institutionalย eventsย and programs.ย 

  • Create and execute an annualย strategyย that includes key performance indicators to increase brand awareness.ย 

  • Articulate and exemplify theย Schoolโ€™sย philosophy to the members of its various constituencies.ย 

  • Work closely with the Head of School to developย communicationย goals and strategiesย thatย promote message and missionย consistency.ย ย 

  • Uphold ethical standards,ย maintainย confidentiality, and stay focused on campus priorities with optimism and perseverance.ย 

  • Be able to conduct select weekend and evening work for certainย community-wideย events and/or communiques.ย 

  • Protect the Schoolโ€™s brand identity through style guide development and enforcementย 

  • Partner withย Theย 51 Campus Store on brand consistency within retail merchandiseย 

  • Partner with the Head of School and Leadership Team on executive messaging and Board of Trustees communicationย 

  • Partner with the Admission team to serve as theย Admissionย campaign lead,ย producingย all Admission materials (12-15+ annually),ย andย executingย automated workflows for marketing messages and event reminders by grade levelย 

  • Partner with the Advancement Team as the campaign lead for theย All Saintsโ€™ย Fund and Night for Navyย 

  • Develop measurable comms campaign, including publications, social media,ย websites,ย emailsย and textย 

  • Serve as theย Editor-in-Chiefย forย our semi-annualย magazine,ย Innovateย 

  • Ensure Crisis Communication Plan is regularly reviewed,ย updatedย and understoodย 

  • Oversee team, Departmentย budgetย and vendor schedulingย 

  • Ensure the team is visible in relevant networking groups like DFW School Communicators and CASEย 

Coordinate with school colleagues in the following areas:ย 

  • Handle print and digital publications for advancement, admission, andย all-schoolย communicationย 

  • Maintain and update website in collaboration with stakeholdersย 

  • Collaborate with theย leadership teamย on profiles and stories for All Saints' magazineย (Innovate)ย 

  • Supervise digital and social media communicationsย 

  • Manageย brand standards in use across campusย 

  • Oversee event photography and video coverage both on and offย campus to support All Saints' storytellingย 

  • Optimizeย school resources by managing freelance and vendor relationshipsย 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is required.

  • Master's degree is preferred.

  • Extensive experience in strategic communication, public relations, or related roles.

  • Proven track record of successful communication strategy development and execution.

  • Strong skills in strategic communication planning and execution.

  • Knowledge of best practices in public relations, branding, and marketing.

  • Proficiency in media relations and crisis communication.

  • Experience in dealing with media inquiries and building positive relationships.

  • Exceptional writing and content creation skills.

  • Proficiency in graphic design, video production, and content management systems (CMS).

  • Familiarity with website management, SEO, and social media marketing.

  • Ability to create and implement effective digital communication strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills to measure and interpret the impact of communication efforts.

  • Ability to make data-driven recommendations for strategy improvement.
