Advantage Truck Group (ATG) has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Body Shop Technician - Class A Commercial Vehicles. The Body Shop Technician performs high-quality collision repairs, structural corrections, and refinishing prep on Class A commercial vehicles. This role requires a minimum of two years of professional automotive or commercial collision repair experience. While commercial vehicle experience and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) are advantageous, proficient automotive collision technicians looking to transition into the commercial sector are highly encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collision Repair: Execute precise vehicle repairs in strict accordance with estimation sheets and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect delivered parts against estimates to verify accuracy and ensure all necessary components are present.
  • Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces, structures, and panels thoroughly for upcoming body and refinishing work.
  • Damage Assessment: Identify and report hidden damage or necessary supplemental repairs to management immediately.
  • Timeline Management: Communicate production delays, technical challenges, or timeline changes proactively to the shop manager.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep all shop tools, machinery, and specialty repair equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Safety Compliance: Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including properly fitted respirators.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, EPA standards, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with painters, preppers, and other technicians to optimize shop workflow and efficiency.

  • 2+ Years of Experience
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Requirements


  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional automotive or commercial collision repair experience required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in general collision repair; experience with refinishing prep or structural frame correction is a strong plus.
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to operate heavy shop machinery, lift repair materials, and stand for extended periods.
