Overview

Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified Strategic Communications Support (Level 4) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals supporting high-impact mission objectives.  As a Strategic Communications Support, you will develop and execute strategic communication campaigns in accordance with Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies and guidance. Responsibilities include conducting research, writing speeches, preparing executive presentations, drafting press releases, managing digital and social media content, and supporting senior leader engagements. You will also oversee communication projects, develop briefing materials and talking points, and provide strategic communication support to advance organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities  The Strategic Communications Support will: 
  • Serve as the Strategic Communications Support to the Director of Communications 
  • Develop and deliver publicly releasable and classified briefings, speeches, presentations, and messaging for senior leadership  
  • Manage the senior leader speaker request process, coordinating with legal counsel to ensure compliance with ethics review requirements 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic communications outreach events and senior leader engagements  
  • Manage official social media platforms in accordance with Department of the Air Force (DAF) Public Affairs policies and guidance  
  • Develop internal communications, messaging guidance, and strategic communication products that support organizational objectives 
  • Coordinate organizational participation in space, defense, and industry forums  
  • Support communication-related taskers, reviews, and requests from senior leadership and headquarters staff  
  • Develop branding, education, and outreach materials for conferences, trade shows, and public engagement events 
  • Collect, analyze, and report communication metrics and provide required materials to SAF/SQ and other stakeholders 
RequirementsSkills and Experience  The Strategic Communications Support must have: 
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance 
  • 15+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) strategic communications experience with demonstrated hands-on expertise 
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments within the past five years 
  • Ability to obtain and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph, if required  
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives, military leadership, and key stakeholders on strategic communications initiatives 
Education and Certifications  The Strategic Communications Support must meet the following:  Required 
  • MA/MS/ME degree in a field relevant to this functional area 
  • Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
