JOB TITLE
Parts Development SQD SPEC
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Develop, implement, and control procedures and tools to improve Supplier Quality Management System efficiency.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers for effective communication and collaboration.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities and document findings.
• Support suppliers in implementing best practices and quality control processes.
• Monitor and enhance quality assurance processes throughout the supply chain.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure quality alignment.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues promptly.
• Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality.
• Prepare and present reports on supplier performance and quality improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and promote a culture of quality among suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives for supplier quality improvement.
Other Responsibilities
• Monitor and support preventing disruptions in supply chain to avoid impact to HMGMA.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering (R&D), Quality, and Production Planners.
• Plan, organize and disseminate information related to production/potential suppliers.
• Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting or related field from accredited university
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint, required.
Preferred:
• Minimum 5 years of related job experience
• Years of experience from Automotive industry in Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, Supplier Development/Engineering, IATF 16949, Launch, Program Management, or related fields strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing process including, but not limited to, injection molding, press, stamping, die casting, welding, assembly, paint, chroming and other surface treatments, foaming, SMC, extrusion, SMT, various raw materials, and more.
• Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience from OEM or major commodity suppliers strongly preferred.
• Bilingual preferred - Ability to read, write, and speak any two combinations of English, Korean, and/or Spanish fluently.
• Multicultural - Openness to embrace and work with different sets of cultural values.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
• Domestic / International travel required.
