Multiple Shift Options Available (Availability on each shift is subject to change)
1st Shift - $26.00/hour minimum | $54,080 minimum annual earnings
  • Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:00pm

Crew 1 - Days: $28.17/hour minimum | $70,304 minimum annual earnings
  • Monday-Thursday | 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • Listed rate includes 8 hours of guaranteed weekly overtime

Position Summary
Marmon Utility is hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing, wire stranding, and extrusion equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining production, quality, and safety standards while minimizing downtime and waste.
Qualifications:
  • No prior machine operation experience required - we provide paid on-the-job training for all new employees.
  • Candidates with experience as a Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Operator, or Equipment Operator are encouraged to apply (higher pay dependent on experience).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Basic math skills required
  • High School Diploma or GED

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and workplace safety
  • Operate production equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Ability to safely handle reels, spools, hand tools, and measuring equipment

Safety & Physical Requirements:
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
