The South Texas Project Electric Generating Station is one of the newest and largest nuclear power facilities in the nation. Instructor Tech Training Sr (7154)
Summary
โ€ข Responsible for the development and implementation of the assigned training programs per the Systematic Approach to Training and appropriate training procedures. Conducts evaluation of training programs to identify areas for improvement and development of corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement. Participates in the development and budgeting of work plans and then administers assigned training program within defined work plans and budget and in accordance with approved procedures and training program descriptions. This position also serves on the Curriculum Review Committees and Technical Advisory Committees to ensure quality and consistency of training programs.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
โ€ข Ability to operate and/or maintain plant or mock-up equipment, systems, tools, cranes or forklifts for instructional purposes of the related training discipline. May include maintaining appropriate plant qualifications, licenses or certifications.
โ€ข Security Instructors must have Ability to operate and/or maintain security equipment. This may include achieving and maintaining appropriate plant qualifications, licenses or certifications including NRA certification
โ€ข Ability to perform related discipline activities in the station in support of work and training assignments.
Education
โ€ข High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
โ€ข Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Education or Engineering. (Preferred)
Experience
โ€ข 2 Years + experience at the journey level or senior tech level in the commercial nuclear power plant industry. (For Maintenance, Radiation Protection or Chemistry Instructors) (Required)
โ€ข 2 Years + security experience in the commercial nuclear power plant industry or in law enforcement. Experience at the Lieutenant level or above in security management preferred. (For Security Instructors.) (Required)
โ€ข 2 Years + experience in the commercial nuclear power plant industry. (For General Employee Training Instructors) (Required)
โ€ข 2 Years + STP or other commercial nuclear plant, experience preferred. Military or industry experience maybe substituted 2 for 1 on a case-by-case basis verifying comparable responsibilities. (Preferred)
โ€ข 2 Years + experience performing training classroom instruction, on-the-job field/laboratory instruction, or instructional material preparation, or experience in First line supervision, pre-job briefing responsibilities, performance observations, personnel coaching. (Required)
License/Certifications
