Job description

Overview

Reporting to the VP, Business and Product Strategy, the Senior Manager, Business & Product Strategy will manage high‑impact strategic, cross‑functional projects with a primary focus on Barron's premium product ecosystem—including Barron's Investor Circle, premium newsletters such as Energy Insider and Global Signals, and their emerging premium communities—that drive significant business impact and deliver exceptional value for our users.

About the Role

This role will lead and drive a wide variety of strategic initiatives to drive revenue across this portfolio, working across various teams from conception to completion. Projects will touch marketing promotion and packaging, product strategy, editorial strategy and more, with the intent to draw in more subscribers and deep engagement and retention. The ideal candidate will be a solutions‑oriented problem solver and driver capable of managing multiple work streams and diving into the deepest details of any part of a project. You will partner across all core areas of the Wealth & Investing business—including Product, Marketing, Editorial, Data/Business Intelligence, and Technology—providing a holistic and expansive view of how premium products support our broader strategy. This is not a maintenance role; it is a builder's role for a strategic thinker who excels at execution and is eager to leave a significant mark. If you're passionate about creating sustainable business models that power impactful journalism and thrive in a fast‑paced digital environment, we want to hear from you.

You Will
  • Serve as a key business partner for Barron's premium products (e.g., Barron's Investor Circle, premium newsletters, and investing communities), helping shape their strategy, roadmap, and performance targets.
  • Help define and refine the Barron's product ecosystem in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Design, including packaging, tiering, bundles, and upsell flows.
  • Translate performance, user behavior, and financial insights into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders across Barron's and Dow Jones.
  • Concurrently manage multiple business‑impacting projects from conception to execution.
  • Manage cross‑functional working groups, ensuring consistent progress and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with and influence cross‑functional teams to advance key projects.
  • Hold project teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Use competitive research, financial models, and data analysis to suggest strategic directions.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and analytics teams to conduct in‑depth data analysis, define KPIs, and establish robust tracking mechanisms for all premium‑product initiatives.
You Have
  • 7+ years of experience in business strategy, consulting, or product management.
  • Strong track record of leading projects from ideation to completion.
  • Experience working in digital media and/or subscription businesses is a plus; familiarity with premium tiers or add‑on products is especially valuable.
  • Deep knowledge of investing and the financial markets.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross‑functional partners without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions and build business cases.
  • Team oriented and collaborative with eagerness to help others.
  • Aspiration to be challenged and learn.
Our Benefits
  • Comprehensive Healthcare Plans
  • Paid Time Off
  • Retirement Plans
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans
  • Education Benefits
  • Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • Family Care Benefits
  • Commuter Transit Program
  • Subscription Discounts
  • Employee Referral Program
Compensation

Base Pay Range: $125,000 – $155,000. We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
