Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Stores Clerk B

The Shipping & Receiving Stores Clerk Position is a represented (Union) position that supports of manufacturing operations at our Northampton, Ma Site. Must be capable of performing all physical or administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing, and/ or distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team. Effectively process shipping, receiving, and stores procedures that are aligned with company quality, delivery & cost goals. Handle paperwork, incidental to receiving, shipping and storing material. Verify, protect, store and deliver goods produced and received goods and supplies based on customer requirements and company regulations with an objective to positively impact business results.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Verify material to be received or shipped against quantities appearing on the packing list of shipping order.
  • Identify and communicate order discrepancies including unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Record data input (example, unplanned issues including receipts and returns, etc.) using appropriate tools incidental to receiving and shipping material and inventory management ensuring accounting and inventory accuracy.
  • Package outgoing items to prevent damage, pack and unpack material received in accordance with the latest industry standards and most recent military specifications.
  • Weigh items to determine shipping or express costs, affixing shipping labels and enclosing appropriate shipping documentation.
  • Operate forklift or transporter to receive, deliver and puck up parts and assemblies.
  • Deliver and issue items to amnufacturing stations and office areas.
  • Exercise proper material handling precautions in accordance with L3Harris rules and regulations.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with 5S regulations.
  • Select suitable and safe storage per quality specifications; accurately document variable including but not limited to quantities and location.
  • Notify group lead of Kanban items when point of reorder has arisen and turn Kanban cards when necessary.
  • Inspect part to packing list, description and workmanship using accepted shipping/receiving/stores quality stamp.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Working knowledge of how Stores/Material departments operate and knowledge of how Shipping and Receiving operates.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse control, inventory control, and related duties.
  • Ability to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
  • Must be detail-oriented with close attention to accuracy
  • Valid Driver's license and good driving record
  • Must have intermediate computer skills
  • Must be able to obtain D.O.T. certification; hoisting & material movement
  • Forklift experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and exercise safe lifting techniques
  • Ability to sit or stand up to 9 hours, walk, bend, climp stairs and have good sense of hearing

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $45,520 - $61,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.Â
