The Stores Clerk is responsible for receiving orders, stocking, filling requisitions, taking inventory, and sanitation.

Additional Information:

60% of time Receiving/Distribution/Inventory

  • Receives, verifies, and stocks deliveries
  • Checks accuracy of quantity and quality of products in conformance with specifications and orders.
  • Notes & reports discrepancies and damaged items.
  • Rotates food, first in-first out.
  • Issues and transports supplies to designated areas.
  • Tracks physical inventory as assigned.

30% of time Sanitation/Safety/Support Functions

  • Discards out-of-date food items.
  • Sweeps and mops dry storerooms, refrigerator, and freezers as needed.
  • Collects and discards boxes, packing materials & other debris.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of carts, dollies, racks, and shelving units.
  • Maintains security of storerooms and storage boxes.
  • Serves on Trayline or other assigned areas when stores duties are complete or on non-delivery days.
  • Washes dishes, pots, pans; performs other cleaning duties as assigned.

10% of time Other duties
