Job description

As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service, showcase our merchandise, and help guests appreciate our musical legacy. You'll assist guests, process transactions, and maintain store displays as a frontline representative of our entertainment venues. Our retail locations range from traditional gift shop environments to live performance venues where you'll enjoy working with energetic crowds and live music. As the ideal candidate, you'll have fun sharing your passion for music heritage by creating engaging and memorable guest experiences.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests. Actively greet and welcome all guests into our carefully curated retail space.
  • Provide confident and friendly directional guidance to guests as they visit our retail space. Share your interest in upcoming events in our venues.
  • Support sales and service programs as directed by retail leadership. Achieve goals to increase average transaction value, units per transaction, etc.
  • Actively merchandise to ensure sales floor remains full and visually enticing to guests. Keep apparel folded and sized appropriately. Relay inventory concerns to leadership.
  • Understand current product collections to improve our guests' shopping experience. Actively sell and upsell products based on guest interests.
  • Process sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) system and appropriate cash handling procedures. Follow defined check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of sales floor and stockroom areas. Dust displays, sweep floors, empty trash bins, clean windows, etc. as needed.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report equipment malfunction, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management immediately.
  • Process daily shipments. Receive and unload boxes from truck to storeroom and sales floor according to defined policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with tour guides in our historic venues to create souvenir photos. Process photos for immediate display and sale.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience
  • 1+ years' experience in guest service, sales, and/or cash handling preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills required
  • Outgoing personality and an aptitude for sales
  • Basic mathematical aptitude for cash handling and transaction processing
  • Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs

Licenses / Certifications
  • Non-Gaming Work Permit Card required upon hire

Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system, reading SKUs, and completing merchandising tasks. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue and use ladders to access storage areas. Regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach to stock merchandise. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer and handling merchandise.
