Fleet Parts Associate
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Fleet Parts Associate to join our talented team. In this role, you will support construction fleet maintenance by supplying mechanics with required parts, delivering materials throughout the shop, communicate incoming shipments to purchasers, and ensure timely availability of parts to minimize equipment downtime. This role is highly organized, hands-on, and critical to supporting mechanics and keeping a safe work environment.
What you'll do:
  • Receive, inspect, and stock parts and materials from vendors; maintain an organized warehouse inventory
  • Operate a forklift to store and retrieve materials
  • Monitor stock levels and notify purchasing personnel when stock is low
  • Leverage systems and technology to track, report, close, and communicate issues related to vendor orders
  • Be available for delivery or pick up of materials from vendors as needed to fleet or field personnel
  • Interact proactively and regularly with personnel from the fleet, yard, accounting, and third-party vendors

Who you are:
  • Must have prior heavy truck or automotive parts experience
  • Current driver's license (non-CDL) and clean driving history
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Experience with parts warehouse work flow and processing
  • General knowledge of desktop computer applications and electronic purchase order systems
  • General knowledge of construction equipment; preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks and projects
  • Physical job requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs

The hourly pay for this role is between $25 - $30. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions.
